How to Reset a Gauge Cluster

ICON gauge clusters can be easily reset as part of the gauge troubleshooting process. Read how to reset an ICON gauge cluster.

 

Gauge Cluster

  • Step One: Remove the gauge cluster from the cup holder housing. Once the cluster has been removed, rotate the cluster so the back side is facing you.
  • Step Two: With the cluster facing you, locate the smaller of the two plugs on the cluster. With the key off, place the jumper wire between the two pin locations as illustrated below. LEAVE THE KEY OFF.
  • Step Three: Once the jumper is in place, turn the key on. Watch the display, it should be
    blank and only show the voltage reading. Once you have verified that the display is blank.
    Turn off the key and remove the jumper wire. Turn the key on and verify the cluster has
    been reset. Upon verification you can now reinstall the cluster to its housing.
